Metal pails with lid

We offer metal pails (paint buckets) in sizes ranging from 3.0L to 25.0L.

Metal pails available in our Tallinn warehouse:

- 5.0L metal pail with pressure lid (paint bucket)
- 10L metal pail with lever lock lid (paint bucket)
- 20L metal pail with lever lock lid (paint bucket)

The metal pails in stock are equipped with clamp-ring lids (lever lock lid ) and are suitable for solvent-based products.

Products in stock can be purchased in any required quantity, with a delivery time of 1–2 days.

Metal pails can also be ordered in other sizes ranging from 10L to 25L. In this case, please allow a delivery time of approximately 4 weeks and a minimum order quantity of 1 pallet.

Lid types for metal pails

Metal pails are available with pressure lids, crown lids, and clamp-ring (lever lock) lids.

Pressure lid paint buckets are generally used for packaging chemicals up to 5 liters. Packaging larger quantities of liquid (over 5 liters) in pressure-lid containers is not recommended, as pressure lids do not secure as firmly as crown lids or clamp-ring lids.

Crown lids require a special tool for lid attachment. A crown lid provides a stronger seal than a pressure lid but is less secure than clamp-ring lids.

Clamp-ring lids provide the strongest closure and therefore offer the highest level of protection for the contents of the metal container. This type of lid is easy to open and reseal.

The actual capacity of a 20L metal pail with lid is 20.9L. Since in practice it is not possible to fill paint exactly to the rim, product descriptions indicate the maximum usable fill volume rather than the absolute container volume.

Why choose metal pails for packaging your products?

• The metal used in metal packaging is strong yet flexible, allowing it to withstand minor impacts. The adjacent photo shows a 20L metal pail with crown lid that was driven over by a delivery van. Despite the strong impact and deformation, the container remained intact.
• For solvent-based chemicals, metal is an excellent packaging choice because in addition to physical strength, it tolerates high internal pressure and temperature fluctuations.
• Metal containers provide long-term hermetic protection for the contents. The packaging material itself does not change its properties over time.
• Metal packaging offers excellent protection against ignition, as metal is difficult to ignite. Metal containers are chemically stable and are not affected by the chemicals or solvents they contain.
• Empty metal pails can be nested conically inside each other. For example, 200 pieces of 20L pails fit on a single pallet.
• Based on numerous consumer studies, metal packaging is attractive and the most preferred packaging material among customers.
